Earlier this month Lori and I traveled to sunny San Diego California to photograph Lesley and Andy's wedding.  The ceremony and reception were both held at Pala Mesa Resort.  Only one word describes this wedding venue....amazing!  Andy and Lesley were married underneath a gazebo with waterfalls behind them.  After the ceremony the site offered many places for romantic wedding day portraits including a grand staircase through beautiful gardens.

The open air reception was held in a large tent with panoramic views of the mountains on one side and waterfalls on the other.  The decor was beautiful with florals by Cherry Blossom Floral Designs.  This was our first time working with Kiyoko and her staff but we were impressed from the first glimpse of Lesley's bouquet.  This is one of the most unique bouquets that we've ever photographed.  Words can't describe it, you'll just see it!

Jaclyn and Marcus were wed in the springtime sunshine in Kure Beach. A fabulous evening reception ensued at the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington. This wedding was full of unique details! Some of our favorites: Jaclyn's custom veil included lace from the her mother's wedding dress and hand-made silk flowers with vintage jewelry for the stamens. Sand for the sand ceremony was contained in giant sea shells rather than traditional jars. Guests' "placecards" were made from hand-carved branches, complementing wooden table numbers and centerpiece stands. The entire event had a very earthy yet elegant feel.

We especially love that Marcus made sure to get his hair cut for the occasion!
